What is Little Shop Artisan Box?
Little Shop Artisan Box was designed to expose the culinary charms of Bay Area artisans- those who still practice heirloom techniques and use quality ingredients, which are often local, seasonal, and organic. By curating each month's Gourmet Foodie Box, we provide a unique and decidedly local food experience to our subscribers all the while supporting the local slow food movement.

How do I shop for a Gourmet Foodie Box?
There are many ways to get a Gourmet Foodie Box to your door. First decide if you would like a large box or small sized box. Then decide how long you would like your subscription for. Thirdly, decide if you would like to subscribe to a box where payment would be taken out on a monthly basis or if you would like to purchase a subscription in full.

How does shipping work?
If you have a rolling subscription, the shipping is already included in your price. If you purchase a box individually or 3-6-12 months, we will charge $7 for shipping. Just put the delivery address in the notes or email us for specific instructions. We ship out our boxes by the 7-10th so, we need your order in by the first week in order to give our vendors the time to make those small batches. When you subscribe and pay in full, your shipping is calculated depending on the number of months requested.
Please email us if your question isn't answered here: littleshopartisanbox@gmail.com

Can I send this as a gift?
Of course, just make sure you enter the correct mailing address in the check out process. This makes a perfect gift. We promise that that person with everything, doesn’t have this box. Add a personal message to your gift for free.

Can I add a gift message?
Sure, just be sure to put this in the notes while checking out. We will write out your message on a local greeting card company's card: 510 Tidings. Any more special instructions, be sure to email us at littleshopartisanbox@gmail.com.

Is the food organic, local, or Fair Trade?
The products featured in our Gourmet Foodie Box may or may not all be organic, all locally sourced, or Fair Trade. We search for these types of items. When they are, we will let you know. What we care about is that they all taste good and the people who made them season it with care.

How is this a “food experience”?
When you know the chef, the farmer, the friend that prepared the meal for you, somehow, the food is tastier. This box is made for you to know the people behind the products- the characters behind the curtain in the foodie scene. Read the interviews, watch the videos while you eat their snack. You’ll be able to taste the care they season it with.
Like a CSA box, a recipient is challenged to use all the items in the box with new recipes, and creative ideas. We challenge you to use the items in the box to spice up your meals, appetizers and desserts. We’ll give some recommendations, but we are always looking for more unique uses.

What kind of products will I receive?
If you subscribe to our box your taste buds will be tickled by sweet and savory jams, pickled pleasures, cured meats, confectionary delights
(with a vegetarian option) and other must have unique items and they will all be delicious. Many of the items featured are rare and difficult to find in stores.

How big is the box?
The large box has 5 items, with 12-16oz jars of jam and/or pickles, and 3 other items, that together could be eaten as an appetizer for 4-5 people. Think about that wine or book club you are hosting next week. It is a unique pick-me up snack to bring in to the boring office.

What is the difference between the large and the small box?
In the small box, you will receive 3-4 items. Enjoy a 6 oz jar of spread, a sample sized portion of chocolate dessert, and another must have. This will spice up your snack drawer while allowing you to try all the items you never knew you wanted. The large has 5 items with larger portions.

What do you mean by curated?
Each item selected in the box has been taste tested by a focus group of foodies from the Bay Area. From there on, the best tasting are placed in a box that fits each season or theme.

Can I customize my box?
Currently we offer two types of boxes, an omnivore and vegetarian option. If you are a vegetarian, we will replace the meat item with another just as delicious item. But we need to know, so please put this in the comments box when you order it.

How can I check on my orders?
We are currently working on this electronic feature. You could call us at 510-463-4Box (4269) or email us. We respond quickly.

What if I need to go on vacation?
You could pause your subscription for any amount of time. You won’t be billed or sent any boxes during this time. Just tell us before the 1st of the month so we can make sure of this.

How do I report a problem with my order?
Please get in touch with us at (510-)463-4BOX (4269) or email us at littleshopartisanbox@gmail.com so we can help.
